She could be seen on a few instances, but they were few and far between. Truthfully, she had fallen into a bit of a depression. Watching everyone slowly leave, their numbers dwindling, had lowered her spirits. She had been so hopeful, what with having her brothers around and having the position that she did. She felt useful for once, truly useful, happy. Now she was alone and sad. She only had familiar faces, only her work and studying.
She had plenty of time on her paws now, locked away in her home, so she had taken to books, despite her inability to read them. She slowly learned how to, picking up on mostly basic words and phrases. She managed to learn more about herbs and other things, techniques to help heal others. If she couldn't have her happiness, then she would just busy herself, keep her mind off the misery at the edges of her conscious.
Finally, she stepped out into the sun, squinting against the glare. She didn't realize how long she had been cooped up. The serval takes a look around, seeing a few members here and there working, but not nearly as many as there used to be. At least there were still a few to be seen. Hopefully Ninazu hadn't up and left her, too. She wasn't ready to take her mentor's place just yet.
She starts off in the direction of the temple they used as a medical station, feeling oddly lost despite being in a place she had been in for so long. Everything was different yet the same as could be. She didn't like it, quite frankly. So she tries to focus on her steps, watching her paws as if she could hardly believe they were her own. It was better than feeling like a bit of dust in the wind.
