Fortunately things have been at peace for the past few days since the Ascendants patrol incident blew over, but Bex wasn't going to relax just yet, no matter how much she wanted to. There was something that she needed to do. "Everyone, gather 'round for sparring practice!" The dawanguard called from the meadow where she stood, deciding that it was large enough of an open area to provide plenty of space for their training session. While training was something that sounded a little too serious and boring for Bex's taste, she knew that she had to step up and do something, seeing as they should always be prepared... just in case. Not just in case if the Ascendants attacked, but in case anyone attacked, really. Bex just wanted everyone to be safe. "Go ahead and find a partner, and once everyone is paired up, we'll get started," she explained as she watched random Sunhaveners begin to arrive. Hopefully there would be plenty of them soon, so that they wouldn't have to wait long to begin. The sooner the better.

Well, if she had to be honest with herself she could say that she had never actually practiced her fighting skills. Sure she had helped to lead the charge against the Ascendants that one time, over emotional about what had recently happened and not in the mood to listen to their lies or whatever they had to say. Not during a fight, not during something she considered to be Sunhaven's justice for murder. But she'd never actually fought...properly. Back then she had been a wild force just using her claws and her teeth to find purchase on whatever flesh that she could actively get a hold of. Tearing it, ripping it, that was all she had cared about was causing some type of pain. Looking back on that she regretted her heated decisions but she would never go back on it. The past was the past and she had no time to sit and keep looking on it. Time to head into the future. Taking a couple steps forward the woman looked at Bex with a keen smile upon her muzzle, flexing her claws against the ground as she took a seat because of the call that had rung out. Yeah she was ready for this and she figured that she could get some good exercise in so that she would be more prepared to out maneuver some of the faster creatures around here. "Anyone want tae partner up?"

Fighting. It was the only things that he had ever known since he was just a cub. Without a family to protect him at a young age meant that he was forced to survive by himself upon those damned mountains. Mountains that he would never return to. The cougar had to learn how to defend himself, whether that meant climbing up trees to get away from wolves, or some other methods without getting him killed he would do just that. The wildcat had no reason to overstep his bounds unless he was starving. He really started to learn how to fight when he had his sword. But he just didn't need his sword when it came to fighting, he could easily fight without it if he so chose to. Some thought that if they took away his sword that he would be nothing. Sure, taking away someone's sword as a Shinigami was almost as bad as a criminal act, but it wasn't the end of the world either. He had claws for a reason and having nearly turned feral when he was younger he had adapted to fighting slightly without his powers. At least that was against those that were around his similar size. Those that were larger than him were a bit more of a struggle because their blows could certainly deal a lot of damage. Hence why the majority of his armor was more for defense than offense. There was nothing sharp about the edges of his armor, as it was only there to protect him and some of his vital areas. The bottom of his stomach wasnt as covered as one would think, as there was only a strap just behind his arm that wrapped around his chest to keep the armor held there.

Ichigo had yet to have anyone try to rip his armor from his body before in battle, but it could just as easily happen when it came down to it all. Ichigo was used to sparring, with or without powers. There were instances when he first joined the clans and gained a couple new powers that he needed to shapeshift into something smaller in order to go against someone. With the range of creatures that existed in this place, however, it didn't seem like it was all that necessary. Ichigo certainly wasn't in any condition to really be out and about due to the lack of sleep that was plaguing him right now, but again part of him didn't even really care that much. He was always tired and he hadn't had a good sleep in a very long time. Ichigo's rounded ears perked as he heard the mention of sparring. Oh? This was something that he was used to and would be able to recognize at least. The armored wildcat moved himself up onto his paws and began to make his way to where he heard the voice, his bi-colored eyes to look and see who had arrived already, and it only seemed like there was one other person. Marina. He only recently discovered the females name, still not having an understanding that she was indeed the leader of the group. He usually didn't care about the ranks that others held with one another all that much, so he never bothered to ask. Marina was far larger than he was by several feet. Ichigo only came up to around 3-4ft at his own shoulders, so he was going to have to work with a lot. Of course, he wouldn't use his sword as he wasn't trying to kill anyone. "I can if you want." Ichigo said casually and calmly as he made his way over. It was practically his calling card to hear the metal portions of his armor rattle with each step that he took.

CRYPTICWHISPER is an Angeli Divine, in the form of a 5ft Angeleon - he is of the exceedingly rare 'black Ichor' caste of which only a theorised handful exist [mine].
Currently he resides in Sunhaven and is considered 'fallen' by his divine brethren for his renegade status as their once ex-general. Aura and abilities are black-purple as is signature to black Ichor caste. Wears silver-black 'black star' armour & wields the Eclipse Sword.

Cryptic meandered over - sparring sounded like a good idea, even if it would be purely on a physical body limitation, it didn't help to let himself idle while seeking refuge here.

slitted eyes flicked to Ichigo and Marina - seemingly already partnered up - before seating himself to simply wait for if anyone wished him as a partner.

A voice caught her attention and she angled her ear back to pick up the sounds of rattling armor. For a moment she was puzzled, gaze pensive as she attempted to put the sound to a face before the voice spoke up. Strangely she didn't recognize the voice so she had to turn around and actually look to see who it was. Luckily for her she actually remembered his form from when he had tailed after her as she had left to go to the Ascendants. But she also didn't know his name yet and that kind of had to be a thing. She just couldn't call him Cougarman and hope that it would pass. So she allowed a more easy going smile to pull across her muzzle as he offered that he would be her partner. Well, that was all fine with her and he could probably teach her a few things because honestly she needed to learn a few things and not rely on her powers. "Alright, that sounds fine tae me. Ya look like ya know a thin or two so I'd much appreciate the help if ya wouldn't mind it." Lessons would be fun and private fighting sessions could go a long way but she was pleased that Bex had decided to set up this little event for Sunhaven. After all they couldn't be too careful especially with their circumstances and all of that.

What in god's name was Fin doing here,  they were about average height for a feline, and had some combat training.  Not enough to even go against those who breathed and fought on the daily, the brown lynx tabby padded over curious as anything else but also dreading that they were going to get their ass kicked for this.  Trainnig yes, asskicking no.  Espeically when it came down to their vampiric issues, they were almost feral in their actions until they came to.  " Ah, i don't suppose there is an a person for lil ole me right? Someone my size." they chuckled weakly.

Despite the armor that he wore across his body, his body was lined with several different scars. There were some that were created by claws while the other ones were created by blades that were wielded by enemies from back in the day. The wildcat wasn't immune to damage with the armor he wore as there were plenty of other portions of his body that could be attacked. One of the more prevalent areas that seemed to have the most scars were both of his shoulders, as it was one of the more targetable areas that existed. The Shinigami had plenty of scars on his left leg, but he also didn't enjoy having his scars either. It meant that he could have done so much more in battle in the end and probably avoiding getting the scars in the first place. It was the mentality that he had gathered from his mentor several years ago that he wouldn't have to worry about getting scars as long as he didn't let his enemies hit him. Showed him how far that ended up getting him in the end. Ichigo didn't have a lot of scars on his stomach as he was rarely attacked around those areas, most tried to muscle him down onto the ground or attack his legs first. Ichigo was decent when it came to close combat, but he liked to get a good distance away if he couldn't win out of pure force and use his powers to his advantage. Keeping him at a distance was also a good tactic because if he didn't aim his powers right, he would just continue to miss each shot that he did take. There were still aspects of his fighting style that he could change, and he needed to focus more on using his powers to make transformations easier. The Shinigami noticed the way the female smiled at him, and it made him a relax a little bit, but he felt more tired than ever that was for damn sure. She accepted him and that was nice, but he seemed to hesitate for a moment in her tone of voice.

The way she spoke was so familiar to him, and he felt his throat clench up for a split second before the muscles relaxed again. Ichigo offered a fake grin toward the larger canine when he realized that he had probably stared for a couple seconds too long. "Gomen, your accent just reminds me of someone." Ichigo apologized, but he didn't lie for the reason why he had stared. He didn't go into specifics however and left it fairly vague. The friend that he was thinking of, of course, was O'Fraiser. He could never forget his best friend and always hoped that the leopard would be happy and healthy somewhere. Anywhere. Ichigo craned his head and grabbed the hilt of the large blade that was on his back, using his powers to help him lift it before he laid it down on the ground. He sat himself down as it was the border collie that was running the show. "I don't mind helping. Feel free to use any powers if you want and I'll try to keep mine to a minimum if it helps." There was a chance that the Hellhound would get upset about the aspect of him not using most of his powers, but there was a reason. Majority of his powers had the capability to simply injuring someone, and that was the last thing he needed. They were just sparring after all. Although when he sparred with his fellow Shinigami most of them went all out, or they used wooden swords and would beat the shit out of each other with them. The cougar had no reason to use his sword in a sparring match as it was far too bulky anyway to swing around. His bi-colored eyes turn to look at the familiar form of Cryptic. Not that he knew the larger feline, but he just knew that he didn't trust him either. The aura that was coming off of the creature was enough to make him uneasy.
