Moonmade had told him to do tasks for the group and though the former slave wasn't too comfortable with the prospect of ordering others to do things he guessed he could give it a try. After all he was grateful for the chance to live a life other than what the Pitt had given him and he sighed softly as he stood near the Observatory, eyes lifted up to look at the structure and how imposing it looked to him. He'd never seen anything like it and the fortress in his eyes held nothing compared with this building. It had more life to it and the sting of iron and sand didn't make him recoil. Flicking his thick tail the male turned slightly to the side and he walked inside, making his way to the wide open area before he sat. Timidly he lifted a paw and brushed it along his maw, trying to make himself feel more...presentable. One could only hope as he cleared his throat and lifted his head up just a little bit more as his tail curled tighter against his body. "Ah...um..gather here if you wish to have a task. Though I'm not too familiar with the grounds I'll try my best."

Admittedly, Onision baring his fangs had bothered the feline more than he'd like to admit, his leader responding to it by putting this sort of trust in the Sha felt like a victory to Ren. Of course, the one who was winning the most from this was the former slave, and good on him for escaping a bad place. Knowing that such compounds existed did leave the male with some apprehension, wondering how many were trapped in a life that wasn't their own to dictate, but as he strode over he tried not to think about it too much. It was an injustice, they needed to do something about it, but with Sunhaven casting a bloodied shadow over the Ascendants Ren wasn't keen on spreading himself too thin. Besides, there were things he needed to figure out about himself first... like the weird voices and memories he'd occasionally see around and about the camp. "Mm," was his curt indication that he wanted a task, the felidae dipping his head politely as he awaited to see what he'd get.

Weekly tasks were things unheard of where she came from, chores and responsibilities, rather, the things delegated to the girls who served her grandmother. She supposed that she couldn't be surprised, not after seeing how different things in general were within the Ascendants, but she certainly hoped that her task was straight forward enough that she didn't have to mull over completing it.

He was rather happy to see that there were others that were willing to give him a chance and he allowed a breathless sigh to leave his slightly parted muzzle. He could do this after all and this would show that he could. His eyes roamed over Ren and two of the faces he didn't know just yet. Flicking his tail flicked back and forth as he turned his gaze toward Ren and he lightly tapped a paw against the ground in thought. His voice was a slight nervous hitch that he attempted to control as he looked down at his paws.

Truthfully, when it came to heating stuff up he'd always stuck to drinks until now because they were easy and had the best results, but Ren couldn't deny the mouth-watering allure of cookies or shortbread. Even now he was smiling, trying to stop himself from drooling like a dog as the faux smell of sweet goods wafted around him. It was a grim reminder that he'd forgotten to eat this morning, but no matter, he'd surely find time after this event. Giving a nod of his cranium as confirmation, the feline would slink off, considering himself lucky that he had the free time to try and figure out where to get an oven-like thing from.
