Face your problems on your own (Open, Thea being chased by small child)

From the moment she saw the small child on the border, Thea had silently vowed to avoid coming into contact with him. After the whole wake-up call, and her realizing everything wrong with what she'd done, she'd been convinced, that too much time spent with children would somehow have them ending up like her, due to any influence she had on them. So she avoided all the dwarf stars like the plague.

Which was a bit hard considering one was trailing her right now. It was like a horror movie to Thea, one of those parts where you were being chased by the axe-murderer or something, if said axe-murderer was a harmless child.

Teleportation, climbing trees, nothing had thrown Lachlan off of her trail, and she finally rushed into the Observatory, hoping he wouldn't follow her into there with all of the people there.

He thought this was a game, a rather fun game which he would win. Games were meant to be fun and he was having the best of times right now as he attempted to trail after Thea. A couple of times he had gotten lost and hadn't been able to find her but after a few more moments of stumbling around he's managed to find her and twice! A soft giggle left the child's slightly parted maw as he waddled after her, stumpy legs having to work overtime to actually keep up with the larger creature. And despite his tiredness the young cub kept at it, shifting through thick grass in order to catch up with Thea. The Observatory was a place that he had only briefly looked at so he didn't know it too well and the idea of it kind of frightened him. So he'd pause at the entrance a overwhelming feeling to start wailing overcoming him for a moment before he noticed Thea going inside. His little nose twitched for a moment and he slowly inched his away inside, stepping with such quiet hesitance before he allowed his small form to walk forward into the place. It was bustling with other animals and he looked taken aback as he crouched down low, scampering from one side to the other and then he saw her. A soft cry left his lips, happiness showing through ever fiber of his being as he scuttled after the female with ears pulled forward and claws scrapping against the solid ground. Found her he did! And he wiggled his rear back and forth before he tried to launch himself forward and grab a hold of her tail and latch small baby teeth to chew on it, partially gumming and slobbering on the appendage.

No. Nonononono. The look of horror on Thea's face is clear, and she tries to tug her tail away from the child, only to find unless she went and actually forcibly removed him from her tail, with her paws, he wasn't going to come off. "Get off. Go find somebody else to chew on." Thea said, sounding a bit grumpy and desparate, and attempted to shake him off again, before beginning to walk forward, hoping it would deter the tiny cub from holding on and let her be free. "Get off! I'm serious! Go find Moon or Alexander or somebody who will put up with you!"

It was safe to say that Thea was not enjoying this at all, the look of panic on her face taking place of her usual smile as she tried desperately to get Lachlan off without just slamming him into a wall or something. Stupid teething stage in children. Was it not clear to him she wanted nothing to do with him?

"Rival mortal doesn't like infant children?" Came Aloysius' voice as he walked over, his tail brushing against the ground as he sat and watched everything go down. With how big he was, he could easily carry around Thea if she shifted into a smaller body, could keep her away from the child, but Aloy wasn't too fond of the idea of the child being sad. So, he kept to himself.

"Infant child, it isn't nice to chase after thee." He spoke with a soft tongue, his ear twitching as darkened blue eyes continued to watch everything go on.

It wasn't a conscious decision-- if anything, Moon would opt to have nothing to do with him. He had too much on his paws, right now. But something at the back of his mind wouldn't allow it, and so for the short time he didn't spend in the Cleric's hide waiting for Har to open his eyes, he was outside, a watchful eye for the strange black cub.

This time, however, he'd been off getting some stuff done, and all it took was 5 minutes absence to return to chaos. The lion returns, grasps what's going down, and sends Thea an unimpressed look as he sprawls out on the ground a few feet away, head on his paws. He makes no more to interrupt, and the more he watches the child's antics, the more the dark cloud over his head starts to clear and humor sets alight in his eyes once more, be it small. "Get her, kid." He drawls, "Give her some bite marks to remember you by."

Pretty sure that now there was a good amount of saliva coating the fur along Thea's tail as the kid continued to nom on the appendage. It was less likely to do any damage considering his teeth were just starting to grow in. It would be a while before he could actively eat anything solid but he was teething and this was just something to nibble on. When his captive began to walk forward he held one, back legs sprawling behind him as he slide across the floor. It was really fun and he allowed a excited noise to lift up from between clenched gums as a giggle then left his throat. But soon enough he released the tail that had been the affection of his attention and he squirmed, pushing himself on his paws and wiggling his rump in the air. For a moment he seemed like he was about to pounce on Thea's tail but another voice caused him to pause and he turned to look at the large canine, the same one whom he didn't understand what he was yet. His head tilted in confusion, wonder in his wide open gaze before he settled down and just stared up at him. His little body shivered once and he sniffled a little before he started to walk over to the canine, but he paused as he saw Moonmade.

A squeal left him as he bounded over to the other lion and he attempted to press his face up against the face of the much larger male. Lifting paws to try and smoosh them against the side of his muzzle before he pressed his side up against his face and fell over to just lay there. For now he was much distracted by Moon and Thea had been forgotten. For now. His metallic eyes searched the open air above him and he wiggled, tail flicking against the ground before he just laid there quietly, making soft huffing noises.

"No. Rival mortal does not like children." Rival mortal would prefer if children avoided her. Thea was more focused on getting Lachlan off without actually hurting him, and she wasn't even sure if she could teleport away. Her body was used to being ripped apart, transported, and put back together, and she wasn't even sure if she could bring somebody with her, but if she could, it'd likely be agonizing for them. Maybe kill them. So she was stuck there for now. Moon's encouragement to Lachlan was probably something she should've expected. She didn't expect much loyalty, or trust, for that matter, from others in the Ascendents, not after what she had pulled in the past. Why they weren't snatching the child away from her before she hurt him was beyond her, and as soon as her tail was released, Thea quickly curled it towards her body protectively.

The tension in her body seemed to almost melt off as she watched Lachlan create distance between the two, with Thea inching away herself. "You guys play with him. Please."
