He knew it wasn't fair to those underneath him - as a leader he was expected to be present, no matter his personal qualms; to not be able to meet such a standard was an insult to him as much as it was to their group's already poor reputation. It... the feeling in him was something akin to being troubled, a tightening in his chest that made him twitch his jaw unpleasantly in response. Esklav was better than this. He was no longer a slave, after all. Nobody could hold anything over him unless they sought to provoke a most unpleasant wrath. The free will was odd, but he enjoyed it. As time passed he began to experience things he had never gotten the chance to before.
The life he had lived up until now had been dismal, and he fully intended to change that. The stoic leopon wanted to put himself out there in a more mundane environment, to not fold in on himself as he had always done before unless called upon to do differently.
If he had not already wasted his chance, he wanted to start using it today.
In the comfortable confines of their new fortress was a throne. It had accumulated years worth of debris, but with time he had managed to clear it out before settling in to handle the announcements. When he sat up in it the patterned coat of fur did not do much to mask the feel of the solid bone that structured the chair, but he did find that he didn't mind it much at all. "I've gathered you all here today to commence the second meeting since my rise to power, and I would like to preface it with a sincere apology. I'm sorry. I know I have been absent, and that is not anyone's fault but my own. So instead of softening the blow with an excuse, I instead promise that from this meeting on I will do better. It is my job to so and for the first time I have not done it as well as i'd hoped."
Admitting it made him uncomfortable. And he knew it made him uncomfortable, from the way his body involuntarily squirmed in response, memories of long-gone punishments opening what he had thought was a healed wound. He half expected someone to appear around the corner and confront him about it. "Anyways, on to better things. Cosette, Quill, and Gabriel are all promoted to Seekers. Stryker is promoted to Slaver, and Benny to warlord. And in an unexpected turn of events, both Valkyr and Tsuyu are promoted to normal members. They've proven their worth well enough, and I won't be accepting any complaints with it."
"As promised, we'll be having an event from the beginning of next week 'till the end of the month. This event will be called The Purge, and will be an annual tradition around this time of the year to cause as much mischief as humanly possible before winter hits. The more you steal, collect slaves, and raid, the more points you'll earn and in turn the closer you'll get to winning the grand prize. A prize that includes public recognition, special privileges, and the chance to be the first member of The Pitt to hold the new title of gladiator. Any member who gets this title has an increased opportunity to be promoted to my vicar for their dedication to The Pitt and its principals. This is not an excuse to slack off after the event, however. You stand the same chance of being demoted in a split second like anyone else who has a streak of lazing about camp instead of peforming their duties."

- My apologies for my inactivity. I've been trying my best to do better in school this year, which means that i've spent more nights slacking off than not. I will try to effectively balance everything as best as I possibly can in the upcoming weeks, and hopefully months, following this meeting. With that being said, because this time of the year is arguably the busiest, high positions will not be held to a high standard during this time. However, I would still like to see up to a few posts in a week, and if you can't meet that standard, please post an activity notice!

- Introducing the new tradition of THE PURGE! The Purge is an event where members will compete by performing acts of mischief against The Pitt's enemies. It will start on monday, the 17th. The more your character does, the more points they earn, and the winner will get the new title of Gladiator! Gladiators are members recognized for their great contribution to The Pitt and their dedication to what the group stands for. Gladiators will have an increased chance of having my eye on them for future promotions, skipping the SHP rank of Seeker. They will also earn 20k gems from myself. A member in second place will get 15k, and all participants who did not place will receive 2k for participation. There may or may not be a third place as well.
- Stay tuned for more stuff!
