The word felt strange, bearing a weight she never thought to give it once more. Faint and blurred about the edges are a time when once she had spoken it, allowed it to dance across her tongue upon a huff of laughter, their own private haven made within the hellish depths their lives had been rooted within. Yet it had ended with a savage finality, taken from her until the word seemed nothing more than a shattered, broken thing, glass she preferred to leave be than tend to, be it to clean it or otherwise attempt repair.
And yet it lingered on the edge of her tongue once more, a heavy stone she felt the weight of yet never allowed to part her lips. To speak it, allow it a tie to this place, seemed nothing more than an invitation for destruction. Within a similar vein another word was present beside it, touched with worry and the crimson of blood spilled from an innocent ruined because she had sought to be present, apart of something more.
A breath escaped her and she looked upon the door in front of her, unsure now as she stood here. It had been a few days since she had returned, allowed her paws to draw her back for her impulsive act seemed idiotic now, nothing more than a want to keep those present in this place safe. The plan had backfired, the news of Monroe being captured and tormented, at the mercy of the Pitt, had left her stomach to clench uncomfortably, twisting with guilt. If she had been present it might have been her taken, her own life given to keep him safe where he was needed, but instead she had thought to follow idiotic impulses.
“Monroe?” Finally lifting the stump that remained of her left foreleg she knocked upon the door, not realising until it was too late it hadn't been closed properly. With a soft groan the door swung open and left the serval standing there, unsure now if she should walk in or leave, deciding to lean in some. "I am sorry if I am interrupting I-" her words trailed into silence as she finally caught sight of Monroe, clearly in the middle of something though what Ishayu was unable to put a name to, quickly taking a few steps back so she was once more outside of the house. "I am so sorry, I can come back later."
