    [div style="width: 450px; height: auto; margin: auto; text-align: justify; font-family: verdana; font-size: 12px;"]Hah... shit, he'd been walking for a while now. His paws ached more with each step, and he was sure they were bleeding a bit; he had never been one for... exercise, and perhaps that was coming back around to bite him in the ass. Running away, truthfully, had not been a very good idea. Though his parents were assholes sometimes, he couldn't help but miss them, but it had been long past time since he quit their company. It was time for him to move on and live his own life, without their meddling.

    The golden dog padded slowly over the border, stepping gingerly over fallen branches and sticks, trying his best to be careful as he moved through unfamiliar territory. Sunlight breached the trees as he did, deep brown eyes turning to gaze at the horizon for a few moments before his gaze moved to land upon the observatory in the distance. Oh, perhaps this place was inhabited already. Had he passed scent markers? He frowned slightly, sniffing loudly, to no avail. "Stupid nose." He grumbled under his breath.

    He looked around him slowly, searching for any signs of life, but could see nothing. A slow sigh escaped the boy as he plopped himself down in the warming grass, stretching out his small figure in the path of the sunlight. If anyone did live here, he hoped they were friendly; he wasn't looking forward to a fight today, or... anything, really. He hoped if someone saw him they would just turn and walk away and leave him to himself, rolling in the warm light of the morning sun.

    [align=center][div style="width: 540px; text-align: justify; font-family: helvetica; font-size: 9pt; line-height: 1.4;"]"You're big."

    As ever, Hyoyeon spouts the first thing that comes to mind. It's not a lie, compared to the small domestic feline with a small healing cut on her mouth and her even smaller dragon, with years of growth ahead of her, the dog is quite big. Hyoyeon knows that sometimes dragoons fought dogs, but they supposed massive hellhounds spewing fire and brimstone. This didn't look like one those dogs. He looked soft, fluffy, and she wanted to bury her head into his fur.

    "Oh, whatcha doing here?" She remembers to add after brief mental nudging by her draconic other half, Tiamat staying silent coiled around her shoulder. "This is the Ascedants, we live in that big observatory over there." She adds, perhaps unhelpfully, the stranger probably knows where he is.

    [size=9pt]"I'm bigger." said Moon, literally just for the sake of saying it. All windswept, disheveled mane, the mangled lion approached the border to investigate. It was likely another joining. They'd had a lot of those. Problem was, people seemed to love joining and then disappearing into thin air. He always ended up wasting his golden one liners when they decided they no longer wanted in on the Ascendants and seized to exist. Still, Moon was a good Samaritan, so he found it in himself not to be cold. Somewhat.

    "What's up, pup." he says, but his voice falls flat with exhaustion. He sucks in a breath and tries again. "You looking to join? Keep in mind we got a kitty - like me, but tiny and kind of an asshole - in charge so if you're here to chase cats and fetch frisbees this might not be your cup of tea."

    "Bast is an asshole?" Thea was next to approach, the leopard tilting her head at Moon's words. "He doesn't look like much of a butt. Well, he kinda does. But still." She was unaware Moon was referring to his personality, not how he looked, yet it was still a bit true.

    She turned her attention to the stranger, offering a bright grin to them. "Welcome to the Ascendents! I'm Thea."

About pale lips a smile curled, though it seemed somewhat shaky and like to fall within moments, unsure now of what to say. Those who had arrived before them had spoken the necessary words, now they simply awaited the response from the canine, wondering as to his purpose.

    Rather than do so quietly their thoughts seemed to turn within a similar direction to Hyoyeon, though Harland held no problem with acting upon it as she seemed to, held back by something the child lacked. Shuffling a little closer they held no problem with reaching out, trying to gently brush the stranger's side with a small paw, the desire to see if he felt as soft as he looked pushing them to try it at least once.
