☀ — just two ghosts standing in the place of you and me
space
For his weekly task, Pierce had been told to create a "housewarming gift" for someone he wanted to be friends with, and while he knew the other tom had been in the clan for a little too long for it to truly be a housewarming gift, Jericho was the only person he could really think of giving a gift to. The leader of Sunhaven was a nice guy, respectable and certainly admirable, being able to lead a clan with such a gentle, guiding hand. Pierce didn't know if he had ever met a leader with such a kind, gentle demeanor, yet somehow Jeri managed to maintain that and simultaneously keep his clan in line. Maybe that was just because they had yet to run into any trouble, though. Not that Pierce knew of, at least. The first real impression the serval had ever gotten of him was when he'd first set up his little plant shop, and Pierce had been undeniably excited. He loved plants and flowers, and to have a shop full of all kinds of them was pretty special.
Knowing of the other's love for flora, Pierce had initially planned on painting him something, but had then reminded himself that, duh, Jeri was blind. So, despite drawing and painting being his only true strengths in art, he'd had to improvise. With some of the flowers he'd bought from the other, he had woven a crown, one made from orange marigolds and little white daisies. It wasn't nearly as crude as some of Pierce's previous works, possibly because he'd attempted to make the same crown at least four times before he'd been happy with it.
Now, all he had to do was actually find the guy. He didn't really know where the Helion lived, so he'd just gone to the next best place, which was his shop. Peering into the floating vessel loaded with pots and seed packets, Pierce spoke, flower crown tucked carefully into his satchel, "Hey, uh, Jeri? I have something for you."
