life in snowbound was easy-going, and other than the bickering the 'heroes' and 'villains' did, there wasn't really anything dangerous. thus, henri grew bored of the easy days, lazing around in the cold summer sun. henri was padding around in his cabin when the thought of caesar came to his head and he suddenly felt warm. damn caesar, he thought, but craved the other's touch. he couldn't run out and visit him- he lived all the way in the typhoon, and him sneaking out to go to an enemy clan was fishy. his pet crow- named jimmy- made his presence clear with a loud squawk. henri paused. "hey, do you know how to write?" he asked the bird.
"of course i do," the bird grumbled. "what do you want?"
henri stopped walking. "hey, write down what i say, alright?" he asked, and the bird scrambled for ink and paper. at the end of the session they had a letter on paper and henri sent the bird to the typhoon. it took him about a day to get there, and when he did the bird landed in front of caesar's room in the ship. "i got a message from henri to caesar," jimmy spoke, releasing the note in his talons.
dear officer caesar,
how are you doing? here in snowbound everything's kind of boring. there's people fighting all the time though, which is a little weird. i'm kind of useless because i'm blind, hahaha. yeah, write that down. write down when i laugh. no, don't write that down, you fucking idiot bird. anyways, your sister hasn't really done anything. you really did a number on her, i think! she can't even talk nowadays. it's kind of funny, really! i haven't really told anybody here about the cult so that's a work in progress. it's also really fucking cold here, so i wish i was in the typhoon. i'd love to lounge about on the beach with you.
anyways, i'd love to hear back from you. you can just attach a note to my bird and he'll come back to me. we're like pen pals! isn't that so much fun?
- sincerely, henri
at the end, he had written a little heart.
