So they were supposed to pick partners? Interesting. He would glance to his side, where Izuku was then he looked towards the Ascendants members. Choosing a partner would be rather tough.

Blinking, he would turn to Izuku and smile. "Hey, wanna be partners for this?"

"But he's not dead." Thea murmured, the Fireball not quite understanding, but saying nothing more of it after Aizawa smacked the NPC on the head. Probably best not to push it, even Thea realized that.

For now, the young leopard lifted her head, whiskers twitching as a bit of snow landed on them, wondering if she should approach somebody, or wait to be approached. She had never played a game, let alone one like this, and suddenly, she felt a bit awkward, the smile growing a bit smaller on her face.

It didn't help she was one of the newer members to the Ascendents, only having been there a couple of weeks, and it seemed the rest knew each other pretty well. Maybe she shouldn't have showed up? This worried Thea quite a bit. Would it be strange to approach a Snowbounder? Should she stick with asking an Ascendent? Should she ask at all? But the lion said at least one member from each clan.

She didn't quite know what to do, and she didn't like that.

[align=center][div style="0px; width:400px; height:auto; text-align: justify; font-size: 8pt; line-height:13px;"]in terms of clan politics, cherry knew very little, and by very little, he meant nothing. something told him deep down in his mind that he might've used to know something political about an clan in the past-- one that had nothing to do with snowbound. to him, he just found this to be a thing to mess around doing. and why not? life's an oyster, and cherrypaw liked to think of himself as a professional shucker (even though he was not. that's not a very sustainable career and also he's a cat).

regardless, the tom walked on over to aizawa and the npc, mulling over what the deadpan lion had just announced.

[align=center][div style="text-align:justify;width:45%;font-family:verdana"]Hearteyes had fallen a bit behind when her clanmates had headed out to Snowbound's territory, not being used to trudging through snow and all that. The small molly is trying to catch her breath as she makes it to the group, huffing through her nose. "You guys sure do have a lot of snow. When people say this place is Snowbound, they mean it!" She jokes when she's gained back her breath, shaking melting ice off of her paws, lifting her head to smile at the Snowbound members gathered around her. She quiets down to listen to the gist of the game, ears perking in interest. A murder mystery! This will be interesting. She isn't sure how talented she is as a detective, so she's glad Aizawa said they could work in groups. Straightening her shoulders, the albino trots closer to [member=122]cherrypaw.[/member] flashing the tom a friendly smile. "Hey! I'm Hearteyes. Wanna be partners?"

Atbash couldn't help but chuckle whenever she heard Hearteyes's comment about their terrain. It honestly wasn't a very common comment, believe it or not, and the Hailcaller truly enjoyed it. At Aizawa's words about choosing a partner, Atbash went over to [member=145]BASTILLEPRISONER[/member] , a smile on her face. "Wanna be partners?" She asked. Leader and leader, they'd make a great duo... Right?

.. Murder mystery? .. Izuku can't help the crooked grin on his face at the NPC's giggling, and Aizawa's reaction. It was a humorous scene, see? Even if it was supposed to be spooky. It's fine. This was more fun, anyways. Izuku's spirits feel lifted, and he shuffles his wings because his paws are hurt, and tilts his head. He was good at analysis, wasn't he? He could probably manage this. Izuku's ears prick as Aizawa finishes explaining. How exciting! Izuku pulls himself back to his paws, and he fully intends on asking an Ascendants member to pair up with him, but --
"Oh, sure!" Izuku agrees, tail wagging. It'd be nice to do this with Kirishima! He liked spending time with the Maned Wolf, see, and this would be a good bonding activity and whatnot. But!! They needed a member from another clan, right? He takes a moment to express this to Kirishima, looking across the small crowd of people before he settles on somebody. "Hey!! Do you want to pair with us?" He turns to THEA, ears pricking. She looked to be around their age, though definitely larger than them, being a leopard. She looked .. unsure, of what to do, and Izuku was glad to drag her into their mess. He hopes she doesn't end up feeling left out, since he and Kirishima already know each other, but!! He'd try!!

Thea turned to see a green maine coon, a strange color, but still, it didn't faze Thea much, as she nodded, offering a smile. "Sure!"

She quickly made her way over, making sure not to step on the NPC. She didn't want them to be smacked for not playing dead again. While she wasn't quite sure what the reason for the game was, she was slowly grasping it. It seemed like most, if not all, were pretty excited for it, so it had to mean it was fun, right?

The young Fireball settled a foot or so away, fur still fluffed up from the cold. "I'm Thea. Who're you guys?" While she usually was more comfortable around the Ascendents, around this many strangers, even with people she knew mixed in, she wasn't always sure what to do. So this was a bit of a relief for her that she had just a bit less room to make mistakes.

So for now, she kept that small smile on her face. She could probably even ask them questions about how they liked being in such a cold place later. After the whole murder mystery thing, or during it if she had time.

Kirishima would offer Thea a smile as Izuku invited her over to join their group. Then he noticed she was cold, he could tell by the way she had her fur fluffed up. The maned-wolf would look at Izuku, wondering if he could possibly conjure up some hot chocolate for her, before he turned back to the female.

"Kirishima, nice to meet ya Thea!" He said, wagging his long-tail.

BY THE GRACE OF THE FIRE AND THE FLAMES

Bastille arched a brow at the fairly deadpan delivery of this shocking turn of events, and snorted slightly in amusement as the game was announced. Murder mystery, huh? He did love a good murder game (assassins was one of his preferred, but hell, this was more interesting than standing around at a weak party making small talk). His attention flickered to his sister as she joined him, and he offered her a half-smile in greeting, before his gaze was flickering to the others. Hearteyes was fine, clearly, and just when he was about to call out to Thea she was being pooled in, too. Good shit.

He looked at Atbash at the sound of her voice, suddenly near, and offered her an amused smirk. [b]"I'm pretty sure saying no would be bad for this alliance," he drawled, though he did look back to Vi momentarily, as if to check if she was coming with him or going to choose her own group. Bast had to say he would prefer having her close in foreign territory, but it was also good for her to meet others, too.

Versailles feels her heart drop to her paws.

Partnering up? Grouping together? She watches them all start to fall into their own little groups and, for a moment, she stands as still as she can - maybe she thinks pretending like she's a statue will be enough for people to forget that she even came. Erase the memory of her arriving, and erase the embarrassment that came with it. Her heart is pounding in her chest at the realization, the cold splash of water across her face as she's shot back down to the earth. Slowly, they weave around each other... except for her. Funny. She should've expected this.

She considers leaving, slipping out before anybody could notice her, but she finally sees Bastille looking at her, as if waiting too see where she'll go. Where can I go? It's a bitter thought. The she-cat takes a deep, trembling breath before walking by her brother's side, blinking at Atbash in greeting. She'll always choose to stand next to her brother, the only place where she's wanted... right? "Good morning, Atbash. I hope you don't mind if I..." She sweeps her long tail, gesturing to the trio of them, asking for permission to stay.
