[td]LETS FIGHT, WITHOUT ANY FEAR
it had been some time since she'd come across this swamp territory, and she'd been staying not too close but not too far, taking the time to find joy in the mists that had wreathed the land as of late. though it had been her bad luck to have stumbled over some gods-awful tree root into a small cave and twisted her foreleg in the process. perhaps she had had some sort of luck in the end because her clumsiness seemed to have landed her in the company of another living creature and not one of the spirits that haunted the swamp. said creature had been a rather helpful occupant of the territory she was close to, a golden eyed male who seemed to be fleeing his own demons or something similar. with his help, she'd managed to escape the cavern, and was now wandering among the mists with him nearby for aid in case her leg gave out under her.
bushy tail sweeping across the ground behind her, the soft jingle of the bells attached to the ribbon around her left ear, she stepped to an odd cadence. pain radiated with each step, like hot needles were pricking her paw pads and stinging up her muscles and nerves, often causing her to stop or stagger. sitting down, pere would release the lantern she held in her jaws, the small flame guttering in the slight breeze as she glanced around them and the thick mist that covered the area. turning her head she would call out, "atticus? i need to take a break, i'm sorry.", she called softly to her traveling companion, the hero he was to her. her poor lantern was rather battered from her earlier fall and the candle held within looked a miserable mess making her frown; she would have to locate more candlesticks.
atticus in all his generosity had offered to escort her to a safer place where she would be able to get looked at, and where there were more souls. part of her had protested, wanting to retreat to the relative safety of her newly made home in the roots of a great tree that had fallen over sometime in the recent past with a hollowed out trunk. the rest of her had craved to be amongst society again after so long traveling alone. luckily for the she-cat, it seemed that they weren't too far from the border of tanglewood.
