    the male moved along. collecting sticks, shells, small rocks, and such. making little piles with each on the shore line. a place he cleaned up for just this event. he would slowly get started on collecting small coconut shells. after setting them about the piles, he would turn and call out in that sing song voice. anyone want to build sand snowmen~

[Morrison]

Sand snowmen? Morrison had never heard of such a thing. Maybe sand castles, but snowmen? No. Never. The concept just clashed with the island theme and… well… it was odd. The canine was perplexed as he approached, but intrigued all the same. With amber eyes and fidgeting paws, the older male stared curiously down at the collection of coconuts and various items. He was not artistically inclined, but he could already envision a perfect snowman. Simple, but with a lot of heart behind it.

A pleasant hum announced his presence within Boot’s vicinity. ”I think I’ll give it a shot,” came his proclamation. Though confident, he offered out a paw and flicked it forward, gesturing for them to go ahead. “I think I’m going to have to see how an expert does it first though.” A cheeky smile rose up onto his facial features.

Rosemary walked parallel to the waves—so close the surf occasionally surged strong enough to brush her left paws—with her face angled away from the sunlight. She’d woken up with a full social battery today (so rare, she couldn’t remember the last time this happened) and planned to make full use of it, so, when she heard Boots and Morrison, the ocelot quickened her steps to join them.

“What a lovely collection for decorating them,” Rosemary said, giving a nod to Boots.

Her tail-tips curled inward as she thought over the best approach. Surely, it began with getting a bit of sand wet enough to pack? So she turned her four eyes to the sea and drew a small bubbles of water. Surely someone with earth elementals would find building sandmen easy—especially compared to her, when she disliked the texture of wet sand between her toes—but this wasn’t a competition, and Rosemary was curious how well she could build one herself.

As Rosemary worked with her paws to arrange the snow in piles, the water bubbles orbited her in slow, lazy circles. It was easier to build horizontally than vertically, and, soon enough, she had a torso that looked more like an crocodile than a man. So she rolled with it, adding four stubby legs ending in webbed claws and a rudder of a tail.

She wasn’t confident in her detail work, so she saved the face for later. Humming to herself, she selected a seashell and used it as a tool to etch lines into the shape. It wasn’t as precise as she wanted—or nearly true to life like a real crocodile’s scales—but her creation was recognizable as an attempt to recreate a crocodile, which was enough to motivate her to continue creating.

    the former captain arrived and he looked up. eyes sparkling with glee. it was good to see the male was still about and healthy. tail flicking, he would look to the gathered items. a hum leaving him before he laughed a bit. i can try my best~ he cooed as he turned to start pulling sand together.

the tom would wet the sand as he tried his best to make a round body. carving the sides to look like fur ever so slowly. i am no expert though.. he mused before looking to rosemary as she worked. ears perking as he offered a warm hello.
