    the lion felt like a nervous cub all over again. walking towards the frostguard boarder once again. each step was nervous and silent in nature. was it going to work out how he wanted? would they reject him? he was scared he would ruin their friendship by admitting his feelings. could he handle living life without sakura if that happened?

he did not think that was the case. no, it was not something he could live with. so, the male inched closer to the boarder until he was standing right on it. eyes flicking about nervously. how odd this was for the showman. he took a deep breath of air. letting out a roar to call into the maze like lands sakura called home.

His call would not go unanswered, as the hellhound returned his roar with their own. Sakura was wondering where the dark knight had gone, and couldnt help their enthusiasm as she trotted toward the border.

New jewelry adorned their body, chains and baubles and jewels clinked together. And they sported a pouch hung around their neck, which held something that clinked inside. The large beast pushed past foliage, golden eyes looking at Night.

"Hey!" She barked, grinning as she sprinted over to him, stopping to fall into a playbow. Hest rushed to her cheeks but she ignored it, tail wagging. "Haven't seen you in a while!"

    the returned call made him perk up and his eyes scanned feverishly for them. the play bow as they ran to him was returned with a more awkward one from the lion. eyes alight with happiness as he took in her words. he would shake his braided mane out nervously as he thought of a good answer for that.

i appologize for that. he states with a soft chuff before shuffling nervously. the eyes of the lion found his paws as he spoke again. do you have time to chat? i wanted to ask you something, but i don't want to distract you from anything important. he states with an oddly nervous voice.

he was not one to feel nervous like this, but here he was. he just hoped she had the time, because he had no idea if he would ever work the nerve up again.

When he had bowed, Sakura had almost completely rolled over in the snow, standing up with snow dusting her dark fur. Listening to his words, she shook out the snow and looked into the pouch she held, smiling in relief and then looking back at him. Why'd he sound so nervous?

"I always have time when it comes to you." They rumbled, ear flicking. "What'cha got to say?" She was mostly curious, though there was a hint in her mind. Maybe the bag would come in handy already.

    the words made heat rise in the dark lions fur and he shifted slightly. a faint grin making his lips twitch. he took a deep breath and shifted slightly. well, it is just.. he paused to look at the hellhound. his eyes searching for their own. i have developed feelings towards you that i had to come to terms with.

he shook his mane nervously before continuing. and i came to realize that i have fallen for you. in a more romantic sense. so, i came to ask if you would date me? he was not very good at this, but he had never felt this before. it was hard o face it, but sakura was worth it.

Sakura's mouth opened slightly at his words -- he liked them? The hellhound blinked slowly, taking in his words. With only a flick of their ear to show that they were, indeed, listening, the hellhound thought before trying to speak. Was she expecting this? In a way, yes. Was it in any way how she'd thought it'd happen? No. But, in a way, it was sweet. Endearing. And, just by the way Sakura herself had acted, it seemed just about right.

Taking a breath, Sakura nodded. "That sounds like it'd be wonderful. I love you too, Night." She chuckled, heat blazing her cheeks like she was standing way too close to a fire.

He was ready for rejection. He was ready to lose his best friend. Yet, he was suddenly overwhelmed with joy for the words spoken were anything but rejection. Ears burning with heat as he shifted his paws and then reached a paw up to his mane. Touching one of the many braids and fiddling with it a moment.

The fact Sakura said yes made him stumble over his own jumbled thoughts. Not like him at all, but he liked it. A smile breaking on his face as he places a paw down again. "We should have dinner then. Celibrate something beautiful."
