The beast grunted, tiredly stepping through the meadow, not noticing the border markers as she stepped past. Wings and arms tucked close to her body, the deinonychus trudged wearily, stopping only by a lone tree to rest under. Letting out a huff, it lowered it's large body down, stretching its jaw before looking around.

Days ago it had fled Tanglewood's swamp, met a stranger who was enthralled in some meaningless religion, and now, it could finally rest for once. Pulling its legs closer to her body, it drew in a deep breath and let it out before closing its eyes completely for the first time in days.

a stranger. one that seemed rather dangerous. the beast before her made him lower his ears and then his head. you are not from here. who are you? he asked with a curious tone. not sure if he had walked up on a threat or a friend. maybe both.

that thing could eat you.

it might even try it.

he was so grateful for the voices support. yet, he stopped his patrol and sniffed the air for any other smells that might be there.

Slowly, as Wade's scent made its way to her nose, the beast's eyes opened and a low snarl resonated from her chest. And as the maned wolf appeared in her vision, it stood up and seethed. Not again. It was too tired to fight.

He asked her a question she could not yet answer, ability to speak too far gone for now. Shaking arms extended outward in a threatening posture, but her face was not that of fury or madness, but caution. If there was one, there would always be more. And others may not be as accepting or as bold as this maned wolf.

the stance of the stranger and a lack of words. wade blinked a moment and tilted his head slightly. he realized he would have to make a choice here. how to show he meant no harm and defuse a likely deadly situation?

that means we are dead to stupid.

now was not the time for his voices, but they never shut up. easy there. no need to pick a fight when no one wants to fight you. you look like you need a good meal and a place to rest. he offered as he slowly took a seat. wondering if sheunderstood words at all.

it would be his luck that the dinosaur before him didn't understand a thing. he just held out hope she would understand tione and his seated posture as not a threat.

Ares snorted at his words, watching Wade intently as he sat down. Food and rest. Something she so desperately needed. She groaned and sat back down, sniffing the air. He didn't seem so bad, though caution was still etched into her face as she averted her eyes to look around. Ares shuffled her feathers and wings and then looked back at Wade, making a low chittering noise.
