now, he was not one to care about social status and rules. he simply minded his own and expected others to do the same. so, he was currently settled outside watching the sun rise over the icy land he called home. he was at peace and safe.

those that hunted him were not here. they were not here and he was free. free from all the dangers they posed. he sighed and closed his eyes. a soft breeze, like icy knives cutting through him. he let a rare true smile cross his muzzle. he simply wanted to enjoy his peace.

"Oh dark mysterious man, i wonder what stories you hold." the lowly voice spoke in a slight sing-song tone, aiming to be eerie. Sakura, the owner of that eerie-toned voice, walked up from the road as their eyes spotted Lucifer. "I mean, you look like you have stories to tell."

"I don't believe we've met. Sakura Lingré." Their tail swayed behind them, the bobbles and chains attached to the tail making noise.

the words brought a chuckle from the brute and he let his head turn to find sakura. eyes opened and clearly amused. tail curling about himself. "yes, i do indeed have stories. many from times no one would likely know." he mused in turn before his signature half smirk crossed his maw.

"ah, yes. i believe you are right, sakura. it is lovely to meet you. the name is lucifer." he did not have a last name. he never felt a need for one. not currently, anyways.

A smirk reached across the hellhound's face, ears flicking. A deep chuckle left them and they sat down, rapping their front claws, dazzled in a golden cap on each claw, on the stone beneath. "But I'm sure many would listen." Raising a paw and scratching at their jaw, they continued. "A pleasure to meet you, Lucifer. Quite the name, too, who'd you get it from?"

the smirk would gain a smirk all his own as he felt this hellhound understood him. they seemed the type to understand darker things were not always bad. "they might listen, but none ever ask me to tell." he replied in true form as he rolled those broad shoulders. he noted the others accessories and found them pleasing to the eyes.

it was the question of his name that made his eyes gloss a moment. head turning away before he spoke. "my father. i have many siblings, but i was cast out and lost my true name in the process. renamed lucifer. it is a long story." he missed being able to use his angel name. but, he was no angel now. samael was dead to him, like his so called siblings.

A grin crawled upon their maw, "Why wait for them to ask? Find yourself a good group of people at a bonfire and ask them if they'd want to listen." Their tongue rolled over their jaws, and their eyes turned skyward for a moment.

As the other continued, they redirected their attention back to him. A slight glint of sadness fell upon their eyes, and they sighed. "Unfortunate. For a second I would have wanted to meet your siblings, see if they were as mysterious as you." Their tail wrapped around their paws and they shrugged. "But if you are no longer part of that family, then it's their loss." Sakura didn't know the full story. But even if they did, they doubted their opinion would change.

a clever idea that made him snort. it was a good natured one though and he shook his head. "this old man can't go looking for places to tell stories he barely can recall." he replied with a small smile on his maw. sure, he looked young in this body, but he was no youngling.

"i do not recall much about them or why i was cast out. so, i could not tell you if they were like me or not." this was something the lion did not often admit. his wings pulled into his sides as he looked sakura over. "you seem like you have a story to tell yourself."

did they? he had no idea. looks could deceive as he all to well knew.
