"But I mean, hey, I lived."
Ilijas didn't know why he was so suddenly endeared with that mentality, just that he was. As much as he adored the wilderness and its many wonders (and horrors), the unknown still frightened him something fierce. It held him back, influencing his decisions all while often leading him down the path more traveled. But this girl before him had sailed through a storm, of all things, and now she was here, chatting casually with him about the experience. Wow. Wow.
[color=gray]"You're kind of a badass," The bengal laughed, [color=gray]"Like seriously. Has anyone told you that?" It was a genuine inquiry, followed ever so easily by another chuckle. [color=gray]"I want to sail now... Really badly actually. I'm just worried about my camera honestly, the poor thing isn't waterproof and I'd hate myself forever if I let anything happen to it." He could always find a new one, he knew that, but he'd been through so much with his current camera. Replacing it was not an option.
[color=gray]"Trinkets, huh?" He inquired, arching a brow. That seemed like his style- he loved taking little mementos of his travels, even if they were pictures. He had a few knick knacks laying around here and there, but the life of a traveler meant no permanent home so he couldn't really store them anywhere. [color=gray]"I travel pretty much all over the place but I guess my interaction with the locals is pretty.... Limited? I mean, I ask them about the surrounding wilderness, thank them, and then just disappear. What place have you liked traveling to most? Personally, I'm a mountain guy. I have an elk and a fox body laying around so it makes the journey a little easier."
