he was watching the child work in almost awe. arfur seemed really confident when he was drawing, using large, flat strokes to paint a beautiful piece on his wall. the child got some paint on his body but he didn't seem to care - that was probably the carelessness of someone who loved his craft, jormungand supposed. surprisingly quickly, arfur finished the work and jor just sat there, pondering. it truly was beautiful. "you have talent, arfur. anybody ever told you that?" he murmured softly, offering the child a soft smile. he really had spirit, this one. the detailed strokes to form the colors of the setting sun, the delicate, thin lines of the loose strands of grass in the meadow - and the recognisable form of both of them watching the sunset. something in his heart tugged and he took a shaky breath, what was this - emotion? was he tearing up and allowing himself to feel again? "it's truly beautiful. really."
