Sylvester stretched, eyes squinting within his home. It seemed so empty, now that Lorelei was gone. He never understood why she had left him in charge, or why she left at all. But she seemed confident in his stride. Opening the door to his home and making his way out into the cave, he forced a smile on his face. It was the first of the month, and a meeting had to be held.
Exiting the cave, he leapt to a nearby ledge, and then to another ledge, and another, until he was at the height of the waterfall of the main camp. Beneath him, the pool of the silver minnows glistened like stars, and he felt the smile on hsi face become real. Lifting his head to the sky, he let out a shrill cry. "Everyone old enough to catch a silver minnow from the pool, gather before the waterfall for a meeting!" He heard his voice echo, and he sat down and waited for the group to gather.
