Family.
In truth, the decomposed child had no clue who his family was. In fact, he had never even considered possibilities. After all, what reason did he have to seek answers when they were never there anyways? And what was wrong with not having a family? The way Arfur saw it, being in this big group was kind of close to a family. As such, he did not complain. He simply accepted the reality that this was as close as he may get to feeling like he belonged. Feeling like he had a home.
As the cries burst into the air, the hesitant purple lab moved closer. His ebony irises lifted and observed the duo with a frown on his face. The pup could remember being sad when he was alone, too. “I don’t have parents,” he confided, shifting closer and forcing on a brave smile. Maybe his own personal facts would shed some light for them?
