"perhaps the lands aren't as barren or unseeming as others think.", came a deep voice from somewhere across the border, a great golden beast revealing itself, blind blue eyes seemingly fixated on the youth somewhere down below their height. deep the exhale, breath curling from their nostrils as the golden dragon fixed leon with their unseeing stare, "what brings you to be curious of our lands, young one.", the god of war rumbled as they came to a stop, dark talons of gold sinking among the dead grass, creating such strange cracks against their scales.

"you have wandered upon the pitt's border, youth. what is your name?", they would rumble, antlers of sanguine tone a proud exclamation upon their head, no less intimidating than the various silver scars tearing up their hide and mane. "expect few of the lands you have visited to be any crueler than the lands within our borders, within the lands that are our home.", they spoke in that same deep rumble akin to the growl of earth shifting angrily. tail curling behind the beast, swishing aside dead and brittle grass.
