Blackjack had seen people from all walks of life as a formerly-nomadic bounty hunter, but never in his life a dead man (or woman) walking. Inquisitive eyes fell upon the undead lioness on behalf of the horned jaguar, who sauntered over out of sheer curiosity. The whole scene was a mystery to him — a real, living zombie of sorts right before his eyes, this other ardent Vale tearing off vis leg for the beast and instructing her to eat it, and all the others gathered around them to watch this spectacle in awe just as he was.
Truly there was a first time for everything, it seemed.
"Better you than one of us," the feline murmured to Vale, acknowledging vis'...kind?...offer to sacrifice vis own leg to the lioness in the place of the undead creature preying on some unsuspecting Pittian another time. A generous sacrifice, he had to admit, and one that he certainly wouldn't have done himself. Curious eyes failed to abandon the lioness as Jackie's mind raced. She needed flesh and blood to survive, and he was a bringer of death. She was useful to him, should he ever need a body to be disposed of. This was a fact that he could not forget. "Let me know if you ever need feeding. I'll see what I can do," he quipped, his tone lighthearted and somewhat humorous yet laced with an eerie seriousness. Perhaps he meant the offer. Perhaps not. It would be open to the lioness' own interpretation.
