Was it the fire that caught her attention? The crackling of the wood as it burned away? The strange smell so foreign to the young fox. The child came out of her home ever so cautiously. Ears perked as a voice spoke about another tradition or something. The child was still learning of these things. The pup was learning so much in these few short days. Not that this was a bad thing.
The pup watched as the older female toss something into the flames. Was this normal? Not sure if she had anything to toss, the child simply settled in to watch the dancing flames. The crackling was almost soothing.
