Jotunhel had found that the fish that lived in these oceans were mighty tasty. He was used to the same meals over and over again from where he was from. The tasty and delicious foods from the sea had nothing on the creepy crawlers of the land if one wanted the king fisher wyvern's opinion. A unique taste, something that was both similar and different to what he was used to. All the blubber was a wonderful flavor, something savory and thick that always managed to make the wyvern smile. Not a lot of blubbery animals in the tropics; he figured if he wanted a really blubbery treat, he could always fly over the ocean again.
The smell of something, a delicious scent of something that hadn't been dead for too long, and also came from the sea? It was enticing, and the wyvern had turned his leisurely flight to a more pointed direction to turn towards the smell. He could hear the call of dibs, and he landed his feathered body on the sand nearby. It took him a moment to try and figure out what the word meant, but snorted when it was pieced together.
First calls on the food, of course. Whoever found it ought to have that right in Jotunhel's opinion. The wyvern's nostrils flared, breathing in the delicious scent of the deceased mammal of the sea. "That's an excellent find, it smells very nice," Jot mused, his tail swinging slowly behind him. "Do you want me to help you get it out of the surf? You're doing wonderful on your own, but I think you could display your wonderful strength without accidentally pulling something." He lifted one of his feet, flexing the talons. Normally he would use his mouth, but he figured his talons would be better; it would assure he wasn't trying to sneak a bite and deny the rights of first dibs.
