Could Dante ever see Vale in love? No, absolutely not; not because ve was a monster, as ve claimed, but because ve didn't really... seem like the type to ever feel the emotion in general. It was clear that Vale didn't want to talk about what happened to vim, and Dante wouldn't press; he knew damn well that if someone kept bothering him with questions he didn't want to answer, he'd snap at them. Quite literally.
Love was... a tricky subject, really. Dante hadn't ever really felt the emotion towards anyone (that he remembered), though he supposed if anything, Jormungand and Vale probably got the closest to a 'crush' as one would expect from a guy who likes to shove his emotions down. Love didn't get you anywhere in life and he learned that pretty quickly.
"'Course I got weed. Back home, though." Dante replied with a snort, as if he was offended that Vale didn't think he had any. Or well, in a way, ve was right - he didn't have any with him, but he did have some, just back at his den. "I stay away from the camp, so no one should see you if ya wanna go there."
