The embarrassment in Rift's voice wasn't lost on Roan, although he didn't really feel bad about it. Hiding away was a cowardly move to the soothsayer, and it was right for Riftweaver to be embarrassed, at least in his mind. Hopefully the entire incident – or incidents, rather – had motivated the other to do better in the future. It was the least that the siamese could hope for, considering he didn't want his mother to have to worry about some nonsense again. The medic also didn't miss Vayne's frown at him, but he didn't think much of it. It wasn't the first time someone had expressed some form of disapproval towards his general attitude, and it certainly wouldn't be the last. He was just surprised it had taken this long for Vayne to glance at him in such a way.
Looking back towards Rift himself, Roan paused for a moment before muttering, his head shaking back and forth, "I'm not one much for swimming. I'll sit on the beach and relax for a while, though." A brief period of relaxation would be nice, and he probably needed it, all things considered. He could feel the pressures of his work slowly needling at him as of late, but he had become pretty good at ignoring them. Not to say that it was healthy – far from it, in fact – but it was his way of doing things. Then, without another word or room for argument, Roan turned and headed towards the shore, figuring he could sit near the water and let the sun drench his fur for a little while. He could get a couple of card games in at the tavern later, he was sure of it.
