HALF G[O]D HALF DEVIL // mini oneshot, sacrifice

Recently, Fraggle had made a habit of exploring the territory that The Golden Eye occupied, wanting to make himself more familiar with everything there. However, he did so very gradually, venturing out on short trips, usually in the dead of night. This was mainly for his own safety, considering he knew there were still some amongst the group who didn't know that he was a group-mate, rather than simple prey. He didn't want to get snatched up and eaten by someone by mistake – or on purpose – and the easiest way to avoid that was by exploring at night, when most were asleep. Unfortunately, it seemed as though this habit would ultimately end up being a bad thing, mainly because it meant conditions were perfect for him to stumble upon Cleo's sacrifice. He had initially approached the Circle of Eyes out of curiosity, drawn over by the scent of both Cleo and Damion. He figured that he could keep calm and keep his distance, considering he was fairly sure Cleo disliked him, and he wasn't sure what Damion thought of him, at least not yet.

What he saw when he grew closer, however, was enough to make his skin crawl. He froze up when the scent of blood reached him, his tiny nose twitching as he recoiled slightly. The faint shaky in his body only became worse when he saw what Cleo had chosen to sacrifice. The entire scene was gruesome and unnerving in a way he had never seen before, and he didn't know how Damion could be so calm. For a moment, Fraggle just sat there, ocean blue eyes filled with horror as he scrambled for words, "You... what... why?" He didn't remain to wait for some kind of answer from Cleopatra, however. The boy had no intention of being the next rabbit that she chose to sacrifice in some fucked up ritual, and his stomach was already turning. He spared only a brief glance in Damion's direction before he turned, strong back legs springing him forward as he took off, away from the Circle of Eyes. He wasn't going to stop until he was far, far away from Cleo, and far away from the scene as a whole. The stench of another rabbit's blood would be burned into his nostrils for quite a long time to come, he was sure of it.
