Another two weeks had passed, and they had been a fairly uneventful pair of weeks. Well... for out of group events, anyways. As for what was going on within the Glades? Quite a bit had happened, mostly related to injuries, unfortunately. Thankfully said injuries were being treated well, but Rhine still couldn't help feeling a bit uneasy about the events of the last couple of weeks. She tried not to make this obvious as she approached the usual meeting rock, the thylacine leaping upwards and scrambling the last bit of the way on top. The stone beneath her paws was surprisingly warm to the touch, and she turned out to the crowd with a slightly tired smile on her face. Her tail was wagging behind her as she called out, "Members of the Palm Glades! Gather around for a meeting, please!" Even with all that had happened, Rhinestonestar couldn't help but feel fairly happy. Mainly for a couple of reasons that were fairly obvious to anyone that had been around.
Taking a deep breath as she sat down against the warm stone, Rhine announced with a pleased hum, "First up... we've got a few new faces to welcome from the last couple of weeks. So, welcome to Sauvignon, Valienté, Chevrolet, Seamus, and Rowena. I'd also like to extend a warm welcome back to Sugarspice, Foampaw, and Laeglin." Her expression seemed to briefly change to a warm and vaguely zoned out smile as she said Suga's name, before quickly moving on. She couldn't get too caught up on her girlfriend while she was holding a meeting. Gesturing with a paw towards the boardwalk, Rhinestone continued, "For all of you that are new around here, we do have a sort of entrance ritual type thing that earns you a unique title of Plighted Soul. It's called the Warrior's Plight, and you can find more information about it at the library on the boardwalk." She had worked on writing up a small guide for it, just so she wouldn't have to go over it every week.
Tapping a paw lightly against the front of her muzzle in thought, the tasmanian tiger then continued, "Next... we have some activity related things. Firstly, Mezrtih, you're receiving a warning. I'd like to see you around a little bit more. And Magnum... you're demoted from gladiator entirely. I'm sure you're busy with all your new children, so hopefully it'll be a bit of a relief." He hadn't seen the other around a great deal, but he certainly couldn't blame Magnum for being busy with other things. Tilting her head to one side, her eyes searched the crowd for one of the new faces before she spoke, "I'd also like to give a shout-out to Sauvignon. You would get a promotion to gladiator this meeting based off of your activity, but your behavior hasn't exactly endeared me to you thus far. Insulting someone who just came back from a traumatic experience, and complaining about someone venting... if I see some improvement, you'll get a proper promotion." He was active, yes, but the Glades wasn't a group that smiled kindly at those acting like assholes. Frankly, both Sauvignon and Valienté were just lucky Rhine hadn't seen Valienté's previous behavior.
Shifting a bit on her paws then, a smile returned to the legate's muzzle. She barked cheerfully, "As for proper promotions... Drayden, I'd like you to step up as a gladiator thanks to your continued kindness and activity. I would... I would also like to ask Ares to step up to medici, and Winterhymns to step up as medicus legionis." She sought their faces out in the crowd, smiling comfortingly at both the injured girl and the rather new father. She clarified, tail still wagging, "You both have proven yourselves interested and somewhat skilled in the medical field, so I think you'll make a good team together. Win, I hope you are a good teacher, and Ares, I hope that you are a good student." She then dipped her head to the both of them, finding that satisfactory.
Moving on, Rhinestonestar briefly glanced over the edge of the meeting rock, her gaze darkening before she spoke once again, "Next... I'd also like to issue another warning to everyone regarding the Coalition of the Condemned. Ares was recently ambushed and lost her wings because of them, and that is unacceptable. I have reason to believe that Sojourn is now their leader, which is even more worrying. She no doubt holds a grudge against us due to our old betrayal of her father. And honestly, if they continue to inflict more injuries upon our members... we may have to take more drastic measures. I would like to avoid a raid or war, however, so please be careful." She then added, claws curling against the stone beneath her, "Even besides that, we've had a great deal of injuries lately, so I encourage everyone to please be very careful. We don't want to put even more stress on the shoulders of Win and Ares." Of course, the majority of the injured were children, which wasn't entirely surprising. They didn't know how to be careful enough to prevent injuries just yet.
Briefly shaking her head to push off that feeling of dread, she then bounced back with surprising ease, "As for recent goings on... well, as mentioned earlier, we had both Foampaw and Laeglin return to us. Laeglin under some more... unusual circumstances. We also had Ares doing some herb sorting, and well... I had a bit of a personal announcement I made recently." That had certainly been a great deal more personal than anything she was announcing here. With a calm smile still resting on her face, she then said gently, "I would... I would also like to thank all of you for the booming activity we've had recently. It's really inspiring to see, and I'm so glad you're all here. Every one of you." She knew that she sounded incredibly sappy, but she meant it. Very much so.

She chuckled before she stated, shaking her head a bit, "Ah... I had almost forgotten. Finally, we're now in the month of March, which means that Spring is approaching soon. You might've already noticed this, but our territory is beginning to heat up with the changing of the seasons. It's not too bad just yet, but I encourage you all to be careful. Don't exhaust yourselves out in the heat, and make sure to keep yourselves hydrated, please." She then stretched out, leaping down from the store before she stated, "Now then... meeting dismissed. Feel free to ask if any of you have any questions." She sat down near the entrance of her den, ready to answer any questions if she needed to.
