Shay couldn't be more ready for the end of senior year. This fact wasn't because her school year had been terrible - no, it was actually the best year on record. The girl was just tired of the same thing day in and out. She was ready for change, for college. And she was ready to move in with Margaret finally. Both things were going to be fucking amazing.
Despite all the hurrying up to finish high school, she was extremely excited about prom. Aside from graduation and the last few high school parties, prom was the only thing left to cross off on her list. And this year was going to be amazing; it was already better than last year for a number of reasons.
Hell, she and Margaret were even fashionably late. Such clichés... And not because of anything important. No, it was because Shay's mother had insisted on taking one million pictures. But she couldn't blame her mother. Not entirely anyway. Shay supposed she should also blame herself as she took Margaret to a good restaurant with unfortunately slow service. The pair had still had fun, and they were totally going to tell everyone the lateness on their part had been intentional.
A smile danced on her pink lips as she entered the dance, holding Margaret's hand. They matched extremely well this year too. Marg wore a stunning, long, dusty rose dress, and Shay wore a tuxedo in the same pink hue. Shay's hair was long and curled just slightly so there was a gentle wave to it. Her makeup was simple, natural but beautiful. The pair looked absolutely stunning (and Shay was really happy she'd been confident enough to wear a tux this year, instead of a dress like she had the previous year).
"Happy last prom," she said to her date over the pop music and conversing couples and friends alike. "I'm glad my last one gets to be with you." Her smile was still so incredibly bright.
Baby blue eyes left Margaret for a moment to search for her friends. She'd seen all the promposals, and she couldn't wait to see all the dates. This was going to be great!
