Pure innocence. The fright in her eyes and the grip on her dagger showed she was unable to defend herself, but the sovereign held himself together. His head dipped to the side momentarily. Hazel eyes searched her body slowly, only to meet up at her own eyes to look her in the eye. Frederick's gaze now held the facade of remembrance. "I knew you were a Siu," came his surprised tone. "It's a pleasure to see a Griffingate member in the wrong place at the wrong time." Frowning, he offered a chuckle. If only the Blackfallen knew he was roaming their streets and soon planned to meet their leader toe to toe. For now, he had to go with the shadows.
Though, her statement questioned his true intentions. The brunette just smirked, offering a sly answer immediately that held no mischievous tone. "In search of Griffingaters gone wrong, Katherine" His hand aimed to reach at Katherine's shoulder and his gaze attempted to lock with hers. "Blackfallen men stole you quite awhile back, dear. Poor parents though, they weren't the luckiest of the bunch during the rebellion," he went on to say. "I dearly hope your fake family is treating you well though." Gaze narrowing, Frederick challenged for her to say something back as he rolled his shoulders back and held a mountain pose. "Though..." His lips pursed. "I'd say that we'd be a better fit for you." After all, she had quite the instinct for such a small child.
