It was true, Arrow had indeed grown close to Elsweyr, in a short amount of time at that, and her recent injuries felt like a kick in the gut. She wondered how some seemingly got used to the constant strain of injured friends and family, as if they were burnt out or jaded to the misery. She would have liked to know what their secret was, because the constant strain was doing less than favorable blows to her psyche. She'd never considered herself a violent person, just a bit aggressive from time to time. The wrestling type, not the murder type. And yet, she was drawing closer to the conclusion that she wanted to turn the Pittians inside out or make a nice floor rug out of their skinned furs. Y'know, just girly things.
The only thing left that felt constant, real, and stable, was the swamp. Specifically, outside the confines of the town and into the untamed territory where everything could possibly kill you. Before her demise, Arrow had mastered the art of navigating through the swamp without the help of size or strength. It would have been hard to track her down quickly, or keep up with the impish feline parkouring over tall twisting tree branches. This place was her home, and always had been. It had certainly gotten quieter over time, with less gator threats and more birds singing to the sky. Normally she wouldn't mind, but watching some small birds do something as meaningless as hop around one of the logs filled her with an unusual sense of spiteful bitterness, scaring them into taking off less than gracefully, the beat of all their wings echoing through the open clearing.
Which was where she managed to find Aurum.
"This is the second time you've managed to wander out far enough to find me in my natural habitat, angel boy." Arrow greeted with her signature grin, looking around at the more open space the Luminary chose for his interrupted nap, noting that it looked warm with how the sun cast it's rays down here like it did. Not a bad place to take a little sleep, that was for sure. Aurum was looking sort of heavy, she'd never been pregnant herself, but it had to be exhausting enough even without the outside stress. The ghost feigned dramatic remorse, pressing a paw to her forehead. "I do hope I haven't disrupted our supreme, and very pregnant, overlord's much needed rest! You'll simply have to forgive me, sir."
