The vines that wrapped around the dark-furred wildcat's legs felt tighter -- oddly tense with the uncertainty of visiting his brother's home for the first time.  The kodkod lingered close to Keona, seeking comfort in her quiet but steady presence; so close he hoped he was not bothering her too much, nearly brushing fur when she stopped.

A rouge cold front should not have startled him -- for it was winter still -- yet the mixture of sand and snow rendered him speechless.  Even Summer would laugh at this.  Tempest's mad cackling he could almost hear without prompting, causing a sad smile to settle on his maw -- I still need to tell Jack I ran into Summer.  He took a deep breath, dark eyes scanning the horizon for any sign of his brother.  It seemed he and Natyli possessed something in common; family as part of the reason he offered to accompany Keona on this visit.

"At least the sun's a little more bearable..." He murmured, shifting his weight from one paw to another.  Despite the chill, the sky still stretched open above them -- his dark fur protesting against the direct contact, unblocked by any trees or surrounding terrain.
