Although Moth had gone every morning to collect and take care of the herbs around Tanglewood, she seemed to like it more and more. It got her out of her house and kept her mind off of doting on her son, and it made it so she could get to know how the plants around the swamp were growing, something she had never gotten to do before. When she had simply been a warrior in the group she mainly stayed away from the plants, unsure of how they worked and scared of causing them to die in some way and ruin something that Selby had been working on, and when she had become a medic for the first time, she had only used the herbs that were already readily available to the group, either being picked by Selby or in the garden that he had grown. But they were both gone now and so she had to do things on her own, she had to learn.
When she had come back to her little house that evening, she had freaked out a little bit. It wasn't normal for both Atticus and Sweeney to be gone out of her house, and she hadn't expected them to be gone. She would have thought they would have told her before she left for the morning. Then she saw the note and a sigh of relief left her, until she read where they were and where they were expecting her to go. It took a little bit of time with Moth trying to convince herself to go before she would do so, scared of why they were there, but she was glad that she had done so when she finally made it there.
The sight caused her to stop in her tracks, shock written all over her face.
She hadn't expected there to be a house standing there. She hadn't expected for her home to be there once more, the home she had carefully picked out with Selby, the one she had painstakingly moved everything into, where she had given birth to her children. And then she saw Sweeney and she quickly rushed to the girl's side, saying nothing but a soft thank you to the other as she tended to her the best she could. She had no words that would express how she felt.
