The soft shuffle and disappearance caused Atticus to stir in his nest. In the distance, bickering between his mother and Sweeney sounded between his ears, only to briefly hear Moth give into her simple request. The canine settled back in, only to find himself unable to fall back asleep and his mind afloat. A low growl left him. Weary paws pushed his haunches upwards and he wobbled to his feet, pain shooting through his ribs. Atticus' eyes rolled. He enjoyed sleep when he could get it, but as a light sleeper, the littlest of movement startled him awake. Today was no different.

Disgruntled and annoyed, he wandered forward and out the door, only to halt moment later. A sigh of relief left him. She hadn't gone too far. Atticus attempted to brush at her side and then nuzzle his snout underneath her chin playfully, a faint smile growing on his maw. "Getting some fresh air for once, Sweeney?" he questioned mockingly. "It is a nice day out..." Maybe they could go on a walk or something. It was no surprise that she was contemplating where to say, especially since Atticus had already grown accustomed to his old home and mother again. They would need to discuss that sooner or later.
