[align=center]Kura had had his fair share of scraps and hardships throughout his life- his mother dying to an unknown sickness when he was young, falling in love a few times only to have his heart broken, being cheated on, killing his ex and then being banished by the woman who stole everything from him... the list could go on and on, really. His past wasn't something he liked to think about, the memories only bringing him heartache and a pit in his stomach. There was one thing that wasn't on his list, however, and that was being tied up and shoved into a shoebox.
Kuragori had been sharpening one of his knives when he heard Gremlin's distant screaming, eyes narrowing in suspicion. Deciding he had nothing better to do, the owl griffin would spread his wings and fly off in the sound's direction. If whatever made that awful screeching happened to be dead, at least his trouble wouldn't go to waste. After all, maybe it would make a nice, tasty snack.
Gliding with ease through the sky, Kura would eventually spot Mordred with a square-shaped object below. Was that what was making all that noise? He thought, imaginary brows furrowing. Landing gently near the beast, his beak would part as he attempted to speak. "Well, what have we got here? A shoebox?" Kuragori would wonder aloud, not really directing his questions towards the female. "I wouldn't puncture that if I were you. I thought I heard screaming coming from this direction earlier... perhaps someone's inside?" He paused, walking closer and giving the box a couple of light knocks with one of his talons. "Helloooo?"
