The kitten's ears pinned back upon his head as his mother's courageous roar echoed throughout the island. He couldn't help but worry. Alexandre understood why. What if her life had to be traded away for another though? What if she died? What if everyone died? He swallowed. It didn't have to come to that, right? With a clear expression of distress, the child just stood silent. He didn't particularly care for Roan's proclamation that he'd be babysitting him and his siblings.
