TELL HIM THE NIGHTMARES HAVEN'T STOPPED
tell him i'm not sure what is real and what is not
Something was wrong. Something was very, very wrong, and it hadn't been clear to him what until he watched Stryker appear behind Hani and Alani.
Almost at once a cry of alarm flew from his lips, as if to warn the twin leaders, but he was too late. It seemed as if the ground opened up beneath them and then, as they fell, swallowed them whole.
And suddenly the world stopped spinning.
He could hear blood rushing in his ears, his own heart pumping rapidly as an itch began to grow inside him, his shoulders heaving raggedly as Hani and Alani disappeared from his sight.
His shoulders moved as if to throw himself forward, though he only lurched clumsily and toppled to the ground, his paws refusing to move. It was as if his head was screaming at him to dig them up but his body refused to co-operate, as if a snake had coiled around his every limb and was weighing him down.
Tempa's own yells were distinctly quieter than they would normally have been, blocked out by the sound of his blood rushing through him and somebody's screaming. But unlike every romance novel ever, he didn't have time to wonder who was screaming, he didn't have have time to wonder at all. He just didn't have time.
The world had just swallowed up his world... Again.
