Her entire body burned. Bones cooked, blood boiled, fur soaked in sweat. She had dunked herself in a small pond and it helped for a moment, but the heat just boiled the water. There was no escape. Often she was found hiding in a hole, trying to cool off. Holy shit, she even rolled around in salt water. But that made her skin irritated. There was just no refuge for the child. As she paced in front of her little home she made out of sticks and leaves, Chino keeping his distance because she was just too hot for him, she felt a boiling liquid lurch to her throat. She staggered, jaws parted in a painful yet silent groan, and suddenly...

The boiling feeling left her throat, burned her mouth, and left a small fire at her feet. Saliva seemed to be lit ablaze as she coughed, flicking saliva around and creating small embers that soon died out. All that was left was the fire at her paws that danced around her lifted paw, bright blue in color. Vision went washed in blue tones, but the hues faded and her vision became normal once more. She lowered her paw and the fire shrunk. She slammed her paw down and suddenly the fire was gone.

The pain was reduced to an irritant. Breaths came easy to her, and her body seemed to cool down.
