Frederick had dreamed of going back to the sweet surrenders of being a child, but he was growing old and it was assumed that there was no turning back from that monstrosity. Simply, life was short. He should of spent it wisely. All the sword training and being a kiss-ass to the former King was not the best thing he could of done for the sake of enjoyment, but it was best for his country. That seemed to really matter. Nevertheless, he would kill to be like young Katherine. A simple child once again that didn't know the truths of the world or her own secrets. The day those would come out would be a disaster for the both of them. Prometheus be damned.
Walking along with his eyes on the child in the distance, these thoughts swarmed his head. Though, he would not share them with her. No, that was for him to know. Frederick, as his thoughts moved away, finally reached her position. His voice rumbled from the shadows of the forest as he turned the corner. "It's nice to see you enjoying the weather." At least he assumed so. To him, her eyes were closed so blissfully and satisfying, as if she was taking in the world around her.
He let himself fall to the floor beside her, but did not invade her space on the tree stump. A light sigh left him. "My name is Frederick," he continued on. The female, admittedly, did not look familiar but his gaze narrowed inquisitively. "You seem familiar, dear. What's your name?" If she were to repeat her last name, he would create a false pretense that implied her own parents were once apart of Griffingate. In most cases, this would seem like kidnapping... and it still was, but right now, he was killing to get more soldiers.
