Atbash’s attention was quickly snapped from Melantha to Cry whenever she heard the sound of wings flapping in the air. She didn’t seem quite at all surprised that the bird was talking (but she did seem a bit mesmerized). No, she believed most animals had the ability to speak, so long as they were intelligent enough. Besides, other-worldly creatures could take the form of whatever they wanted to be - not that Atbash had a feeling that Cry wasn’t from here, it was just fact that odd beings could be whatever they wanted to be. Although it was interesting to note that Cry spoke the same language she and the others did. Then again, if Cry was intelligent enough to speak, they were intelligent enough to learn how to speak to cats and other animals.
Atbash frowned at Cry’s words, but she didn’t seem angry. Upset, but not angry. ”Even if that’s true, you should still encourage him.” She responded. ”How else would he learn?” She briefly turned her attention back to little Harrison when he scooted closer to her and gave him a smile. She tried to lean down and give his head a reassuring lick. ”It’s okay,” She cooed, her short tail flicking. She didn’t know how to be a mother at all, but she could at least try to remember what her own mother did whenever she tried to calm her down. Oh, and about Harrison’s comment about her being pretty? Atbash thought that was sweet of him to say that, but didn’t say something on the manner herself since that moment passed. Maybe she’ll say something to him some other day.
Atbash barely had time to react to Izuku’s introduction before Cry hissed at him, causing Atbash to jump in surprise again. Once again she frowned at the bird, noting that Cry seemed to be a bit hostile towards their group mates. Surely she had a reason to be like that? After all, Caesar never really hated their system back in their Home Dimension until they were exiled. It would make sense for Cry to be so hateful, but what would Atbash know? She only thought this because of her experience from her brother. ”Easy now,” She spoke to Cry again. ”There’s no need to be so defensive. Maybe Izuku heard it from somewhere?” If not read it from a journal, like he mentioned. Speaking of Izuku, Atbash looked over at him now and chirped, ”It’s a pleasure to meet you, by the way.”
