Blood. The sight of it alone was enough to set Number Nine on edge, no matter the context. He had become intimately familiar with blood, both through his work, and through his life as a whole, as unfortunate as that sounded. Thankfully, that also meant that the bounty hunter was familiar enough with it to know when something wasn't blood. So, upon spotting the trail and red tracks that was leading away from the boardwalk, Nine lowered his head, sniffing at it and pressing his paw lightly against it. It wasn't long before he pulled his muzzle back up, shaking his head from side to side and sighing. The smell of paint was unmistakable, as well as fairly unpleasant. Despite this, the jaguar didn't decide to just turn around and walk away. After all, whoever had set this up had clearly done a lot of work for it, so it felt a bit silly to just write it off. However, Number Nine did follow the path at a significantly slower pace than Rhinestonestar, not driven by pure panic, or fear for his clanmates' lives.
The figures that lingered along the path through the forest caused Nine to snort, shaking his head from side to side as he walked along. They were actually pretty intimidating, but knowing that they weren't anything real took away from the fear of it all. Of course, the warrior also had no doubt that it would scare the shit out of plenty of his clanmates, whether the grim figures were real or not. It wasn't long before he made it to the clearing, curiously glancing over the goods that Rhine had already gathered, as well as the note that sat nearby. He immediately found himself grinning, his eyes glittering with excitement at the prospect of a challenge. He found himself speaking confidently, half to himself and half to any of those that lingered around, "I can definitely find us some more of the hidden treats that note is talking about. I am a master tracker, after all." Tracking and keeping an eye on one's surroundings were some pretty important parts of being a bounty hunter. So, it wasn't long before Nine was throwing his enthusiasm into this little scavenger hunt, searching through bushes and trees for the prizes he was seeking.
