Nightmares were something that Caesar thrived on. Not that he necessarily ate nightmares or they fueled him or anything like that, but he was able to tell whenever someone was having a nightmare - and not just the usual signs of screaming and thrashing, but he rather could sense auras that nightmares gave off. And that's exactly what drew Caesar to Chaz's home, jumping back a bit whenever the Guru came bursting out from his home and yelled the name of someone he very clearly knew and was distraught over.

Caesar did nothing to stop or help Chaz however, and he had an amused look on his face as he watched Chaz's struggle with reality.
