Oh, Hailkit was definitely waiting for this day. His caretaker was trying to make sure his fur was thoroughly cleaned and that he was well-presented for his apprenticeship, despite out excited he was getting and almost wriggling out of her grasp as Rhinestonestar talked about the new tradition he was implementing. Let me go, I'm clean enough! He pleaded mentally at his caretaker, knowing better than to screech out loud and interrupt his leader.

Finally though, what seem like ages, Rhinestonestar was finally getting to the part for his apprenticeship. When the leader asked Hailkit to come up, the long-furred kit nearly came tumbling towards him, before his caretaker hissed quietly at him, "Walk up there slowly."
