Unlike the others gathered, Diya's approach was not one of casual wanderings. Instead that of a panicked mother, worry sticken and crept upon by grief. How quickly she had assumed the kitten gone when she woke that morning. She had let her eyes slide open that morning, a paw reaching out to slide Suitepaw close. Upon grasping empty air, blue eyes had fully opened, frantic glances around reaching nothing. Swiftly had the feline risen, nose pressed to the ground as she followed her daughter's scent from out of the home. "Oh please tread carefully," she whispered as she spotted the small footprints ambling across the sand.
Following the trail laid out for her, Diya was sift in her search. When she finally approached, relief flooded her chest at the sight of her daughter, standing beside the young child's uncle. She winced at the young one's comment, greeting them by gently brushing her muzzle atop the kitten's head. "That's not a kind thing to say," she chided lightly, no malice within her tone. She knew how children tended to be, she had been one herself. During her approach she had heard names tossed about. "Another Roux, hm?" She chuckled, shaking her head at some joke she kept to herself. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Vandal, I'm Diya Folie-Mikaelson."
