IT TOOK A LITTLE TIME

IT'S ONLY GOING UP

lovekit — the typhoon — tags
The Typhoon was certainly not a place known for its lack of children. It was simply a fact of life that the group was simply crawling with newborn litters and various little ones, mainly due to the wide variety of families that resided there. Despite this, Lovekit often found himself venturing out, eager to see what other children he could find and interact with. Yes, he had his siblings at his disposal at pretty much any of time of day – Seapaw in particular, considering how anxious the other was as of later – but they grew boring, after a while. Lo often yearned for new experiences, and what better way to enjoy new experiences than with new friends as well? This was what had ultimately led to Lovekit approaching Roxanne and Diya's home, having learned that the pair had taken in a new kit very recently. He didn't know how old or how big the new little one was, but that hardly mattered, really. He might've been the largest of his hybrid siblings, but he didn't intend to play rough with anyone. He could still remember that one time that he had shoved Lawkit just a bit too hard, and Roan had practically chewed his ears off reprimanded him.
When the kit found himself growing rather close to the couple's home, he was caught off guard by the succession of sounds that he heard from inside. First, there was a rather firm thump, the force of which caused Lovekit to flinch slightly. Then, there was the sound of tears, gradually building up into a small and pained call. Even if he didn't yet know the new child that was around, Lo already felt a wave of sudden protectiveness come over him. He needed to make sure that his fellow minnow was alright, and he wasted little time in pushing the door open to let himself in. He hoped that Diya and Roxie wouldn't mind, but he highly doubted they would, considering Roxie was more than used to her family coming and going as they pleased. Surely, that would eventually extend to Diya as well. Even if they did take offense to him just trotting in, he did have the defense that he was genuinely worried for Suitekit, especially from the painful sound of the thump.
It wasn't long until Lovekit found his way to where Diya had pulled Suitekit close, very clearly seeing the upset expression on the other kit's face. His form immediately began to droop, his short tail between his legs as he moved in closer. He said softly, his words mostly directed at Diya, "Are they alright...? I heard a loud noise from outside, and it sounded like it hurt..." While Lo had gotten his fair share of cuts and bruises from tussle matches that he had initiated, he had never fallen down accidentally and hurt himself. He imagined it was even worse, when you didn't just have yourself to blame.
