Some time had passed since the hurricane had struck, but that didn't mean that it was time to grow complacent. In fact, all that meant was that they were stronger now, and that they had more time to prepare, in case something just as big happened in the future. Rhine had been putting off any sort of disaster training for a while, wanting to give everyone a chance to relax and recoup, but his mind was lingering on past events more than ever. The recent discovery of Haystripe's body had reminded him of just how fragile they all were, and just how much damage that the hurricane had brought with it. Not to mention the fact that they had children, like Hailkit, Weepingkit, and now Foamkit, who needed protection. They would be scared and panic in the case of an emergency, and the last thing Rhinestone wanted to lose was any of them. They were the future of Palmclan, and he intended to make sure that they remained safe. So, he had gotten to work making plans, making sure that he knew how to instruct everyone when disaster inevitably struck again. The last leader might not have been able to organize things to get everyone out, but Rhinestonestar didn't intend to make the same mistakes.

Unfortunately, Rhine didn't have what most humans had when it came to disaster preparedness, so it wasn't as if he could make a helpful chart on a pamphlet. At the very least, he could approximate something in the sand that made up Palmclan's camp, so that would just have to do. Getting up at the crack of dawn, the tom had moved just a small ways forward from his den, beginning to make a small map in the sand that depicted the Palmclan camp, along with the surrounding areas. It wasn't too detailed, but it still took some time, and by the time he was done, several others had begun to rouse from their sleep, coming over and expressing interest in what he was doing. Once he felt he was sufficiently done with his little map, he raised his muzzle, calling out to the entire camp, "Everyone, gather around for some disaster awareness training! I want to make sure that if something like the hurricane strikes again in the future, we'll be prepared." He then sat and waited for some others to gather around, wanting to make sure he had at least a somewhat sizable audience. Everyone would need the information that he had to dole out.
