Umbra hadn't necessarily been apart of PalmClan for very long but they had welcomed her with open paws. She actually felt like they could be her new family and so she was very willing to help out with patrols and whatever else was needed so that she could actually prove herself to everyone else. It actually reminded her of her childhood. The way she strived to let everyone know that she was useful to the clan. She had worked so hard prove herself then just as she was doing now.
So for someone to just drop a kit off at the border of someone else's clan? Umbra wouldn't wish that upon her worst enemies. She wasn't too far behind Rhinestone and so she also hadn't gathered a glimpse of any sort of parental cat. Don't be fooled, after her clan leader had grabbed the kit by the scruff, Umbra had done a brief sweep of the surrounding area to see if any cat still lingered.
Needless to say, she was unsuccessful.
She headed back to the little kit, slightly dejected. Although she supposed that the current outcome may be the best, as any cat who would abandon a kit wouldn't make for much of a parent. Atleast in Umbra's eyes. Especially since she knew the feeling.
"How young do you think they are?..." She kept her gaze on the kit even as she spoke to Rhinestone. They were so small..
