  The bloody Nile along the pitt’s territory was a pale rust color, almost pink in the sunlight, after the blood harvest, it shone such a brilliant crimson. Splotches of blood stained the kodkod’s paws as he walked along the territory in view of such a ceremonial event. Jack didn’t believe much in folk-lore, but he couldn’t help the sense of magik that such a ritual brought. There were few that truly believed in the rite, in the festival’s purpose in replenishing the dying jungle, and the kodkod couldn’t help but feel that all this power would go somewhere it would hopefully go towards the intention of such hope of replenishing life, maybe it would replenish the jungle. Intentions in magik held such power he wouldn’t be surprised.

But alas, jack’s task was a simple one, after the conclusion of the blood hunt, there was the sense of what to do with the bodies. For once jack wore his armor a clear pale of ice now muggy with wisps of red. Water ripped out of the river Nile intermingling with his armor giving it the sense of marble quarts. Ruby red and crimson-black along the pale clear ice. His mantle rattled with the teeth that gathered there. Icy eyes watching the pitt mingle and celebrate after the blood hunt and blood harvest.

Jack had scent three pittians out to fetch water, and splash it along the center plaza. Already he could see the shine of the water, fresh blood intermingling with it. A few tables were set out already, fruits and brilliant placements of food littered for the less carnivorous kind, or even those who had not went out to hunt could still participate in the feast, but by jack demanded a centerpiece: a showman of masks and the marauder of war- it was his job to inspire the loyalty, the battle lust and with a show for morale boost- well who was jack to deny his people?

Walking into the plaza, the water would start to cool, a cold brush of wind as jack let the rattle of his bones out into the world, intentions clearly shaping the water into a large central table of ice. Akin to his armor, wisps of red caked the table surface. And as jack himself set the body of his own hunt. Blood already drained and cut open- into nicely, he sat back at one of the edges of the table – not the head- and allowed a smile to stretch across his face.
