Though Rhinestonestar hadn't known Sugarspice for long, he did have to admire the new warrior's inventiveness. When he had initially seen the seagulls beginning to ravage their prey pile, his first instinct had been to simply run them off, and continue to do it if they returned. He had known they would eventually need a more permanent solution, but he had been thinking of something more difficult, such as digging out an entirely new tunnel for the prey stores to remain in. Instead of doing something like that, Sugarspice had come up with a rather grand suggestion, and had seen fit to begin working on it herself. That showed initiative, and it made Rhinestone's heart warm, glad that they had gotten such a helpful warrior to join them. He still wished for her to have a safe journey back to her own home, of course, but he couldn't deny that part of him wished for Sugar to stay, so that she could continue to help with their ranks and bring fresh new ideas. For now, however, he just shook that from his mind, a soft sigh leaving him. Now was not the time for worrying and wondering about the fate of the clan, after all. With long strides, the rusty red male made his way over to where Sugarspice was sitting, eying the supplies of dried seaweed and grass that she had with her. She seemed frustrated, and he couldn't say that he blamed her, considering how complicated the weave of old twoleg baskets he had come across seemed to be. Even with that difficulty in mind, the leader offered Sugar a reassuring smile, sitting down nearby. Taking a couple of the pieces of grass into his paws, the tom meowed softly, tail flicking to and fro, "I'll be happy to help out, if you could show me how to start off. I've never tried anything like this, but I imagine once you get the hang of it, it goes much faster." He wondered if some twolegs made a hobby of basket weaving, considering the mindless nature of the activity. It was the perfect thing to zone out with, hands or paws moving rhythmically to weave grass or stalks together.
