"vengeance is just hope with a history"
Jaime lingered behind Roan - when he’d heard mother calling for big brother, the little jaguar hybrid hadn’t known what to do other than follow - something in him both terribly wanted to hover like a useless mother hen and also go out and wreak untold vengeance on whoever had wounded mother so.
He’d also not noticed the steady growth of scales along his jawline, but it was a pittance in comparison to what really mattered right now.
He stood just off to the side and peering in, watching the two with worry in his gaze - maybe, maybe he should seek out learning Roan’s arts, it surely would be helpful - and he might actually be of use then in these situations,
He was too young they all said to fight - but maybe learning to heal in the meantime would mean he wasn’t so useless.
