[font=trebuchet ms]...they wanted to build a walker mech? On this landmass, it was rare to find so much as a stereo, never mind something that advanced. While she had met some with prosthetic legs, an entire mecha that walked on its own was beyond the scope of any creature she'd encountered here- and good thing for that, too. There were enough problems without adding robots into the equation.
Though, maybe Clony would surprise her and manage to make a working mecha. So long as it was operated by Clony themselves and didn't have any artificial intelligence, she wasn't entirely opposed to that. The thought of further laser experiments, though... that, she had to shut down.
Shaking her head, Rin examined the blueprints more closely. "I'm not a circuitry expert either, but I don't think we have the resources to make this work," she said, twitching her ears. "It took decades for robotics to develop to the point of working prosthetics, never mind an entire walker." Turning her head to glance at Clony, she added, "You're welcome to try anyway. You might actually be able to make something that works, and as long as it doesn't have a mind of its own, I'm fine with it. But I don't want you running laser tests, after how the last one went."
Staring at the outlined shapes, however- circles, cones, rectangles, box it in- realization struck. Just make a fire pit, of course. "Actually, I might be able to designate a testing area, so you can safely test lasers without setting the entire forest on fire," Rin commented, looking further down the street. "I'll look into that, but until then, don't mess around with fire."
